DCVB Talks About Early Season Improvements

This past weekend the Defiance College volleyball team had an
invitational consisting of four teams. The teams competing were Defiance,
Siena Heights, Marygrove, and Concordia. The first day we went 2-0, beating
Concordia and Siena Heights. Both were close matches, one going to five sets
and the other only to three sets, but it was well earned. The second day we
started off strong, taking the first match in three sets against Marygrove.
Because we went 3-0, we were in the championship match ranked at number one.
Unfortunately, we were unable to keep the momentum going and lost the game in
four sets.

Overall, we felt that the team did really good this weekend coming
together. We had some girls playing in positions they have never played
before and they were able to step it up and help out the team. We also
worked on a faster offense at this tournament, called the "go" offense, and
were able to use it to our advantage. We have been working really hard at
practices and this weekend really showed our efforts.

This coming weekend we will be going to Kentucky to participate at
Center College. We are hoping to come out even more successful than we did
this weekend.

  1. Yeah. Improvements had seen during those early matches in DCVB. I think this time they are better prepared and want to prove something. Those were very close games.
