After a tough week of challenging practices, we were on our way to the
Kilt Classic at The College of Wooster. On Friday, our first game was
against Oberlin College, who we swept in three games. The win was a much
needed confidence booster for the whole team, after suffering from a few
tough losses in the last few weeks.
Our next match was against Westminster, we battled and took them into five
games but we could not pull out a victory. This game ended the first day of
the tournament, and we then had a long and exciting day ahead of us
playing Capital and Wooster.
We started our day playing Capital University. This was a very exciting
game for us, pulling out a win in five sets. This win was very exciting
for us because we were confident and were able to execute good decisions
throughout the entire match. We ended the Wooster kilt classic with a 2-2
record, falling to Wooster in three games.
This Wednesday, we will be heading to our first conference match up
against the Manchester Spartans at 7:00 pm. We are so excited!
Finally, after months of anticipation, we will be making our way to Santa
Cruz, California, to compete in the UC Santa Cruz Tournament on September
24th and 25th.
GO DCVB!
