Preseason Camp 2010

Well we all survived. We knew this was going to be a great camp when everyone made their mile time of 6:40 on the first day at 6:30 AM. We had two practices a day for the first two days of camp, which consisted of a lot of ball control.

On the third day, we participated in a service project at the Archbold Softball Special Olympics. Each of us had different tasks we were in charge of at the event. The participants were divided up into different groups and one of us took them around to the stations that were set up. The four separate stations were base running, throwing, hitting and fielding. Their scores were recorded at each station and each participant was given an award once they were done. Throughout this experience it was pouring rain but we all came together to help the participants have a good time and we hope to do something similar to this again in the near future!

The week was challenging and hard but we went through a few other experiences to bring us together, one of them being getting each one of us over the wall at the library. This activity taught us how to trust each other and take risks. We are looking forward to having a great season this year and can't wait to get started at our scrimmage at Manchester College tomorrow and at our first tournament next weekend at Ohio Northern!
